wallace gilberry resign with Bengals
Bengals coach Marvin Lewis wasn’t lying when he said the team plans to use its cap surplus on its own guys.Per a league source, the Bengals have re-signed defensive end*Wallace Gilberry*to a three-year, $6.75 million contract.Gilberry entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama.* Signed by the Giants in 2008, he was cut before the start of the regular season.* He joined the Chiefs, spending four years in Kansas City before signing last year with the Buccaneers.Cut on September 14, Gilberry landed in Cincinnati, appeared in 14 games, notched 6.5 sacks, and recovered a fumble for a touchdown against the Eagles.

Lovie Smith must have airborne AIDS.

I was actually hoping we would find a way to bring him back.
The guy can get to the quarterback. |
I liked the guy, glad to see he's catching on. I agree that it would have been nice to have him back, though.
|
Shows heart for an undrafted free agent to land on a team even different teams and continue to push himself like Gilberry has.

Always a fan. Glad to see.

He was a decent player here

I'm still amazed that Marvin Lewis is still Cincy's HC.

Good for him. Met this guy just as he was getting started with KC. Nice, genuine person. I've always rooted for him.
|

Has he one more than the one division title (the year Carson got his knee shredded in the playoffs??) I'm pretty sure he's never won a playoff game... |
Another F U to Scooter for letting him get away.
