Why does a QB's arm length really matter at all? They aren't receivers, pass rushers, or OL? I realize you have to throw over the top of the line, but most of them use a 3/4 delivery anyway.

All depends on opinion I guess. Most successful Qbs have longer arms. Aaron rodgers, rgiii are both 6'2" and have about the same arm length of Geno and a few other prospects. Just 30" is pretty small wingspan for someone that height.

If both arms are that long you have 61" of wingspan right there, meaning you'd only need about 13" chest (across) for Barkley's wingspan to be proportionate to his height. I imagine his chest is broader than that.

I guarantee you there are many more successful QBs with wingspans between 30-31".

There is virtually no advantage to having 2 more inches of wingspan as a QB. If anything it could increase your release time. But a couple inches is negligible.

The fact that you called it a negative for Barkley was laughable.

I could be wrong, but from what I've been told, longer arm = longer lever = more force generated.

But like I tell the ladies though, 2 inches is negligible.
