Lol I actually want to see that Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter movie. It looks just stupid enough to possibly be funny. I mean, what a ridiculous idea.

it was bad. really bad. I thought it would at least be worth a few scenes, but it was just flat out awful.

Could have been cool. It wasn't.

I could be wrong, but I think the 11/9 date is for a very limited release.

I thought I read it will be released everywhere on Christmas Day.

Ah, that magical day where two piles of metal turned themselves into tall buildings which gave birth to a couple of airplanes.

Not even worth watching in a "so bad it's good" kinda way?

I've heard from a few people that it was pretty good. So who knows, some people like it, some dont. Its one of them, just see for yourself i guess.

I assume if you didn't read the book, the odds of enjoying it will improve dramatically.

Probably helps if you know nothing about history and aren't terribly bright, too.

I havent read the book nor seen the movie. Ive only been told by like 2 people it was ok. Ill probably watch it sooner or later.

Looks good, but i didnt like the sound of Lewis voice for some reason? It didnt sound distinguished enough.

Also, the trailer is waaaay overdone. Its basically screamin out "Look at me, look at me....Oscar Bait!!!"

ZootedGranny 09-13-2012 08:59 PM

They should've put some music in that trailer.

I could get used to the voice. I think Lincoln's presence/persona is probably over-built up in our minds. This seemed more real.

The trailer was bad, though. Rapidly fading in/out over and over again, even for the unnecessary credits. Was very distracting.

I liked the fading in some parts, but they didn't need it for literally every scene change. Fast fade followed by some slow fade, it was a little distracting. Liked the trailer overall.

I agree about Lincoln as well. I didn't mind his voice. It wasn't dignified as mentioned in the first scene they show him speaking, but that seemed to be a scene that maybe it wasn't called for.

Shit trailer.

Day-Lewis sounds pretty natural in that Illinois accent, though.
