I have to lock a keeper in the one league I'm participating in.
12 team, head to head PPR league that seems to reward all-star RBs over anything. 1 QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX, 1 D/ST, 1 K, Head Coach, 9 bench. My team: QBs: Russel Wilson, Case Keenum RBs: Arian Foster, Ben Tate, Joquie Bell, Roy Helu, Rashard Mendenhall WRs: Vincent Jackson, Brian Hartline, Hakeem Nicks, Eddie Royal, McCluster TE: Jason Witten D/ST: Chiefs, Bills K: Akers It seems like I either keep RW3 or Arian. |
How in the holy **** did you end up with that in a 12 team league?
|
Yeahh, that looks like a 16 team league. Maybe keep Arian Foster. My question is what do you lose for your keeper. I know some leagues make you give up the pick in the round that you chose the player the previous year. For example, you probably drafted Foster in the 1st last year, so if you kept him this year, you lose your 1st round pick. Is that what yall do?

Sounds like u should just keep Arian Foster. In a 12 team league he will probably fall to the end of the 1st anyways. If he stays healthy this year, and with no Tate, he should be fine. Maybe even Foster of old. |

Is your draft position predetermined? If u are drafting early u may be better off not keeping a player, and drafting in the 1st round depending on who is available. You might even be able to land Arian in the second coming back around.

Why would the champ get the 1st pick?... |

Well more than likely the 1st pick, his keeper, is someone who would have been drafted early anyways. Now if it is like most drafts, snake format, u should hope that you draft last. Then you get to pick first in the 2nd round. Arian would be solid at 12, I have seen him going anywhere from 6th pick overall to early 2nd round in most mock drafts. You should be able to pick you up another stud in the early 2nd round. I wouldn't sweat the keeper rule too much. But some RBs to be looking at in PPR for 2nd round should be Monte Ball, or Gio Bernard, or Leveon Bell. All solid picks to go with Arian. If you wanted to go WR, AJ Green, Brandon Marshall and maybe Dez would be available. If any owner keeps those players in the first, then more than likely a better player should fall to you. Now, if your first pick is at the end of the second, and the champ gets the first pick of the second rd, you ate looking at an up hill battle. Curious to know how it shakes out. Keep me up to date.

Oh and by the way, don't keep RW3. That dude is going in or around the 10th round. Not even considered a starter in fantasy, much less a keeper that would cost you a first rd pick. Your team would be doomed from the start if you kept him.
