Oh, the exclusives on the PS3 blow xbox out of the water.

Yeah, but no one buys the ps3 exclusives compared to 3rd party titles..

They may be great, but they are such a minority compared to others, or sadly Halo.. Most people still buy PS3 in the US for a Bluray..

Software sales show this as xbox generally leads in most sales also..

As for the OP,

What do your friends have?
If xbox, the live community dwarfs the ps3 users, you can get live for 35bucks for a year if you keep an eye out for deals..

ps3 does have bluray and God of War.. and mp is free, there are other great exclusives..

Unless xbox does something amazing in the next console war, I think playstation walks away with it..

Does it support streaming from a DLNA media server, you mean? Yes, it does.

The XBox can do pretty much everything the PS3 can do (more actually).

The deal breaker for me was having to pay M$ to use Netflix.

Well, the ps3 has bluray. Something xbox will never be able to do.

as far as ease of use, I find the ps3 much easier. the xbox dashboard has become so damn convulted. It is a mess now.

I don't have many BluRay discs so that's really a non-issue for me.

Dead-on about the dashboard. 90% of the clutter on the dashboard is apps you can't use if you're not a Live Gold member.

The PS3 interface is a ****ing nightmare... Ads have really taken over the 360 dashboard but it's still FAR easier to maneuver than the PS3. Shit is tucked away in various places where you wouldn't think they'd be -- example: game saves.
And lets not even talk about game installs and updates... I can't tell you how many times I've purchased a game just to go home and wait 1 hour or more for the game to install.. then update.. then restart... then install.. etc etc. I much prefer the 360 method of updating (usually just a few megabytes)....
And we're not even talking about the horrible download speeds over PSN and the shit layout of their PSN store.

With all that said -- I play my PS3 10 times as much as I do my 360... Just saying.

What? My game saves are two slots above the game I'm playing, in the SAME MENU. Not sure what you mean by this.

Now this one is true. Although it doesn't happen every time. It's weird.

I haven't dealt with a game install since MGS4.

Bluray eh. I'll believe it when I see it considering some of that article is the exact opposite of other reports that have been leaked the last year.

Can you elaborate?

The online gaming community seems to be bigger on XBox Live. That's the ONLY reason I can really think of for preferring XBox over PS3.

For me, I don't play online so it's a non-issue. I much prefer the PS3 and don't regret selling my XBox at all.
