CHIEFS:

Dalvin Cook - RB, Florida State: Cook is the perfect fit in Andy Reid's system, and he would be a tremendous value at this point in the draft. The Chiefs could then turn around and trade one of their current backs for an extra draft pick.

Sporting news has us taking McCaffrey

raybec 4 03-13-2017 04:22 PM

Oh, and I doubt they'd trade Ware and no one is giving us anything for West, or CJ SPiller

Trade West for a 1st in 2020 . Browns might bite.

Cook won't drop to us, but if he does, he's almost certainly at the top of our board.

Broncos | Christian McCaffrey on Denver's radar?

Stanford RB Christian McCaffrey could be in the mix to be the Denver Broncos' first-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft in large part due to the bond general manager John Elway has with former Broncos teammate Ed McCaffrey - Christian's father, according to Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline.

It'd be a nice story, although one that seems far-fetched given the Broncos' desire to improve the offensive line. While McCaffrey will be listed as a running back in the NFL, offensive coordinators who want to maximize his talent will be utilizing him all over the field, including as a slot receiver and returner. Denver would not be an ideal landing spot since the Broncos probably want to be more of a run-oriented offense and give C.J. Anderson and Devontae Booker the bulk of the workload in the backfield.
