actually i can almost guarantee clayton would perform better in porn than dex performs in the nfl

especially if the mattress was a queen, strapped onto the roof of an import car

Nobody would call Welker slow.

Welker is effective despite a slow 40 time.

McCluster is marginally effective with a slow 40 time.

Huge difference.

I"m not calling them anywhere near the same player. I'm talking about the idea that a slow 40 time makes you slow.

People on here didn't mention that he ran the 2nd fast 20-yard shuttle and 3-cone. The guy isn't slow. He's agile. It just hasn't yet translated onto an NFL field. And maybe never will.

Ming the Merciless 04-06-2013 11:24 PM

the biggest disappointment with mccluster is he seems to not be effective at all in the return game.......that in and of itself limits his usefulness IMO

Mother****erJones 04-06-2013 11:26 PM

Ya he had that 1 KR on opening night in 2010 and that's it.

I agree, which is bad, because he gets a chance to move in space.

Being one of the smallest players in the NFL and having a meh 40 time isn't fatal.

Being one of the smallest players in the NFL and having a meh 40 time and not having cracked 1700 yards from scrimmage in 3 NFL seasons and still hoping for an upside is a whole lot of wishful thinking.

Ming the Merciless 04-06-2013 11:31 PM

to me if youre going to draft a gadget small wr/rb to bust out every once in a while and take up a roster slot he better damn well return kicks or maybe play in the dime LOL

****ing do something other than what any other normal, non gimmick very high second rounder could do

I am hoping for an upside because Andy Reid has plans for him, and I don't take that endorsement lightly. I also didn't like the decision to make him a RB in 2011 (and every offensive player gets a pass for 2012 under Daboll).

I recognize his limitations. He'll probably never be great. But I don't see why he can't be a contributing 800+ yard guy again, which isn't going to light the world on fire, but it's decent enough.

I don't mind how he was used in Charlie Weis' offense, which was to shift him all across the line pre-snap, which keeps the defense a little bit on their toes, especially on spying on Jamaal Charles. I don't know why they stopped doing that.
