Don't forget Harry Styles. ;)

A significant amount of my high school students think he's the A-lister in this one.

Are they also puzzled as to why there are no Americans in it?

If they paid any attention to me last year, they should know why there aren't. But who am I kidding? I'm pretty sure they're operating on the assumption that this covers the great 4 year German and American War.

I cannot wait to see that.

Wow. Nolan is amazing. Just wow.

Can't remember the last time I had goosebumps like this after watching a trailer.

Was probably actually Interstellar.

Bowser 05-06-2017 12:15 PM

This is going to be amazing

Donger 05-06-2017 12:38 PM

Neat. I wonder how the film deals with the German side.

Once again, the director on the marquee jazzes me more than the actual trailer.

Not that the trailer is bad. Just that, with Nolan on the marquee, you know it's just an appetizer. Where with a different director you might worry you've already seen all the good parts.

Correct. Nolan holds back a lot in his marketing. He has enough power at the studios to keep them from giving away all the money shots. There was a special 5 minute preview that played in front of certain IMAX showings of Rogue One. It was a hell of a preview and if the whole movie has similar tension, it will be a great experience.

Nolan shot around 90 minutes with IMAX cameras. I recommend everyone try to see it in IMAX, specifically 70mm film IMAX or Laser IMAX. They tend to be the old school giant IMAX auditoriums with 60 foot tall screens. IMAX Corporation has been installing much smaller IMAX screens for a number of years.

Hans Zimmer is a genius.

Stuka's had those sirens on the landing gear to really sound scary.

Demonpenz 05-06-2017 01:21 PM

Actually now that I think of it one of scouts said that Mahomes ball being thrown sounds like the stuka siren.

Here is a bootleg of the 5 minute IMAX Prologue that played in front of Rogue One.
