ISU is 35th in the NCAA in 3PA/FGA with 40.5% of their shots coming from behind the arc. It's not where they were in previous years (18th at 41.6% and 8th at 43.8%), but it still could be described as living/dying by the three (which puts a little more luck into the equation than an offense reliant on 2PT FGs).
ISU also plays at the quickest tempo in the B12 and one of the quickest in the NCAA, which I rather like (and not only because it makes for better basketball viewing). When you're a good team like 2014 ISU is, it's beneficial to get as many possessions as possible.
