Scott, the correct answer on draft day and now should have been:

Why? We would have went 4-12 with him last year.

I was somewhat in that boat then. But actually I am not so sure now. Sanchez is a good QB, but I was thinking possible future elite. Sanchez strikes me as another Eli manning.

You really think Matt Cassel won 6 games for us single handedly last year?

I'm sure he knows he's a wasted pick.

I do think he had a better regular season and he had less of a margin for error than Sanchez.

Sanchez had only 4 more TDs than INTs and that got them to 11-5.

Cassel had TWENTY more TDs than INTs and that got us to 10-6.

Cassel also played one of the biggest joke schedules in the history of the NFL and has four more years of experience under his belt.

Year 3 is when Sanchez gets to prove everything. He gets it now, he knows the system. He knows the NFL's speed. It's boom or break time.

Yeah, I still doubt Sanchez would have had a 27:7 ratio even with this schedule. It's not like he played great against teams .500 and under. He had a 12:7 ratio against them.

I'll take Flacco over Sanchez.

In all honesty, we don't know that. As fans we like to bitch, but some players really disappoint in their first couple of years before they break out and justify their draft. I'm still hoping we are looking at a case like that. After 2011 I'll be sure one way or another.

I'm swaying that way too.

Even if he "breaks out" he still wont be worthy of that pick.
