Ah. They gave us free symmetrical service for 3-4 months before Google was installed, it was more than fine for me. I don't torrent or anything, so my needs aren't overly crazy. I do Telework except for the summer months, and I wan't able to tell a difference in my to/at-work experience.

But with TWC (Spectrum) in another fight with a local sports team, I might wait to make any decisions. But I would love to have my BeIN sports back!

Why would anyone get TWC's TV service....it's DTV or nothing for the NFL package.

And of course DTV offers AT&T internet now but good lucking getting it in your area...and usually it sucks.

I get it, and it's tempting, but it seems like those who have in around here seem to have any number of issues with it. But I get it, if they had the speed and reliability of either TWC or GF I'd do it in a heartbeat since we're AT&T phone people. And they might be compatible with TWC in terms of speed, but the neighbors just couldn't get the Internet side to work nearly as well as TWC or GF. But he lived for sports, so it was a no-brainer for him.

Anyone have Google Fiber Phone Service? Is it better than their other Hangout/Google voice service for the cell phones?

I have GVoice and it misses calls pretty frequently.

Another question ... can anyone in the KC area tell me the prices for their Google fiber: Internet > TV > phone. It seems like google raised the prices recently and I was curious about whether there are different prices within the KC area.

Right now it says:

INTERNET
Fiber 100 $50/mo *
Fiber 1000 $70/mo *

INTERNET + TV
Fiber 1000 + Local TV $95/mo *
Fiber 100 + TV $140/mo *
Fiber 1000 + TV $160/mo

Additional TV Boxes - $10

FIBER PHONE - $10/mo

Is that the same for everyone else in KC area?

Thanks

Same prices for me but I don't see an option for phone. I have the $0 basic internet plan available too. I'm in KCK.

Currently on the Fiber 100 plan.

My bill reads:

Fiber 1000 +TV $120/month

Devices $5/month (TV Boxes)

Sports Package for $10/month.

They're finally digging up my neighborhood. Every neighborhood around me has been hooked up for months and I was beginning to worry that they were just going to skip us.

I use Ooma (because GF Phone didn't exist), and it's been perfect so far. I have two lines, and while that costs ~$14 a month instead of $4, it's well worth it since I telework almost full time and love the black list..

I have these ****ers for service at my Olathe house. I first obtained them after being on waiting list for a year, and everything was installed and ready to go May 2016.

It started at $154, went up to $156, went up to $167, and now to $190 in Aug 2017. So during in a course of 15 months, my bill has increased 4 times without even changing or increasing my service one bit. They say the increase is the negotiation of costs with TV channels. It's kind of a bait and switch shit. The whole reason I went with them is so I could get $150 TV and internet, and barely more than 1 year later it is $190.20. What a joke. Every two years or something my shit goes up, fine. Every 4 months on average? Unacceptable.

I had the 1000 mbps internet + TV. Recently I lowered it to 100 mbps internet + TV and it only cuts it to $182.19. What a scum service. So unethical jacking your rates up this often after charging me a construction fee on top of that.

I'm happily going to Direct TV like I have at my Shawnee house where I have the same service for $115 ****ing total.
