Looking to buy an RV
I am at the point in my life where I want to do some camping and relax...
I want to buy a New RV , I want about a 16footer but I want it to be super light. Looked at scamps and Catista on the internet and really like those and would like to see similar brands to these. I have a V6 Explorer with the towing package , I am very experienced obviously at pulling very heavy trailers but thats not what I want... Just want something light in the 10k-15k range I can pay cash for. |

Look into them at least, you may be surprised. My parents had a 16 footer and it was really nice. They traded it in on a 30 footer and have towed it at least 100,000 miles without a problem. |
Thanks will check them out

Lance makes a really nice camper, the 1575, that is really light and seems to be high quality. Saw one at a campground on our vacation last week and was really impressed. It's got a slide and good layout and is about 16ft long. It's also a four-season trailer with insulated tanks. The downside is it's about the most expensive trailer I've seen for its size. You could maybe get a used one for $15k.
The America-lite trailers are nice too and more in your price range. I like them a lot and have been thinking about getting one as I have a hard time justifying the price for the Lance. Good luck, and let us know what you end up getting. |
I am looking at this one right here at this time.... It looks brand new, they claim it has only been camped in 4 times for 7k

I really think you'd get maximum use out of your $$$ with one of them. I know the company was recently sold or went bankrupt or something but you should be able to get parts, (the only thing my dad's needed to buy is a new awning and one hub, I think the parts are fairly universal except for the hydraulic lift system).
Let me know if you have any questions. |

Like I said, they are so much easier to tow over a big ass camper and you get way more amenities for the buck. |

This is the model my parents have. You may be able to find one this size in your price range. Keep in mind, they're about as heavy as a regular RV this size so I hope you have a strong vehicle if you go this big. |
