Starting in 1992 we selected James Pittsley in the 1st, followed by Jeff Granger in 1993.. '97, (two in) '98, (two again in) '99, '00, '01, '02, '04, and '06.

That's a lot of pitching at the top of the draft, and probably why we're still stuck with the curse of the Balboni.

I could be wrong, but i dont think we developed a single pitcher that hung around awhile from Appier to Grienke. Thats like a 15 year dead period.

Wasnt he the last Royal to hit over 30 HR's in a season

or was that Dye? Can't remember....either way that's horrible.

It was cool that I was able to land the sigs of royals 3rd basemen from 20 years apart.

USA trying to rally in the 8th of WBC. Down 4-1. Cuts deficit to 4-3. Bases loaded. Hosmer up. Biggest at bat of his young career. Grounds out to Falu. Sheesh.

@TBTimes_Rays
#Rays reassign Wil Myers to minor league camp

Not that it wasn't expected, just a bit of news.

I didn't get to watch this happen; but when I did tune in earlier this week I got the pleasure of watching a couple shit at bats from him.

Chen gave up 8 hits 5 ER today so far.. 4 IP I believe. Could be wrong on the IP. .....so.....Mendoza?

EDIT : @JoshVernier

And Chen serves up another HR to Javier Baez. It cleared the scoreboard! #Royals down 7-1 in the 5th.

BlackHelicopters 03-16-2013 03:38 PM

Hosmer and Hochevar both start with the letter H. Coincidence?
