Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

Good news. Geno would have been interesting, but AS is better than 1/2 the league.

Now get some CB/WR/DT(E)'s.

The expectation is that it's for a pick in the 3rd/4th round range, but I do not have the compensation details at this time

Sanka 02-27-2013 11:14 AM

Id rather give up a 1st this year and a 1st next year for Flacco.

BigMeatballDave 02-27-2013 11:15 AM

Holy shit, that better not be true.

suds79 02-27-2013 11:15 AM

F#*k it. I don't care.

Draft Luke Joeckel now. Lets complete what will go down as one of the all time bad offseasons. It doesn't matter anymore.

There is more stupid in this thread than I can measure. Look monkeys...Andy Reid has a plan and he knows WTF he's doing. If that's Alex...fine. If it's not Alex...fine. He knows what the big picture involves, and I am certain that drafting a QB is part of the equation no matter what. Some of you assholes are just emotional lemmings...."Oh, this is the worst day in the franchise's history.." How f'ing stupid are you!??? Come on. Get a grip on yourselves and let's see how the entire thing plays out.

Finally. For the first time in longest we have a program with ''proven'' winners. I'm not saying we're Superbowl bound but a QB who has at least taken a team to a championship game, a coach who has been to the Superbowl. I'm so sick and tired of the experimental coaches and QB's.

Imon Yourside 02-27-2013 11:16 AM

I think the Chiefs are floating the two 2nd round picks thing around, because they think they can pull it off with the fanbase when we find out it's a 4th rounder.

this...

and passing on geno in the first will be like grounding into a double play, and the side is retired.
