Lue is a ****ing idiot as a coach.

Lue is an absolute idiot. Been saying this for a while. I've also talked about how he destroyed this team. Where Blatt focused on tough, gritty hustle guys, Lue exchanged all of them for 3 point gunners. That's all he wants to do. Put Lebron in ISO and have 4 guys stand around the 3 point line and shoot spot up 3's. Lue's rotations have been horrendous. His obsession with Jeff Green is also super confusing.

I honestly can't think of any coach of any sport that has said anything as stupid. He literally admits he was out coached and in the stupidest way possible. The Celtics playing their 10th best player should have zero to do with you playing one of the best 3 point shooters in NBA history.

You didn't watch the four steals he had tonight. Dude is a rookie. He isn't old enough to walk into a ****ing bar and get himself a beer!

One Boston sportswriter said it well after the game: "When I watch Tatum, I'm pretty sure I'm watching the last guy to ever wear the number 0 for the Celtics."

Note that "generational" is carrying it a bit far at this point however, no doubt of that.

What the Celtics really did was shorten their bench. They only played 7 players, really. The defensively challenged Korver would go out there whenever Ojeleye did because then they could hide Korver.

By going just seven deep, there wasn't really anyone Korver could guard. I guess it messed up their rotations also, but that's on them for being stupid. It's their choice whether to put Korver out there for the offense he can provide, while risking getting burnt defensively.

The 76ers learned, though, with Belinelli, that putting in a three point shooter who is a terrible defender for long stretches can result in paying a HIGH price. Because the Celtics are so good at moving the ball and because they don't focus on one or two guys to do their scoring -- with all their players an offensive threat -- there is nowhere to hide a bad defender.

Belinelli was repeatedly benched because the C's would pick and then iso whoever Belinelli was guarding and torch the guy.

So it's a pick-your-poison situation. Not sure if Korver is as bad defensively as Belinelli, but he isn't good, and you've got to make some tough choices.
