So over the course of a month I could have 20 different parts sent to different addresses for free and build a new grill?

I have heard of people essentially replacing the entire guts for free.

if you call Weber and tell them they will send you a new igniter (or just about any part) free. Even out of warranty.

:hmmm:

If I thought that would work for grates and flavor bars, I'd be on the phone right now. I have had the main gas line go twice, though, so I'll keep it in mind for the next time that happens.

MMMmmm. I just got a gas grill, Weber Spirit. Debated moving away from charcoal for months, and spent way more than I intended, but all the advice I got from grillers said to suck it up and get the quality. I did and have had zero buyers remorse. I grill every day now. No more heating up the house with cooking heat in summer, and everything is delicious.

Favorite unplanned grill success was grilling a wolferman's english muffin and red peppers and jalapenos. Just stuff I had around, but it was so simple and delicious. brushed a little garlic olive oil on the muffin then piled on the grilled peppers for a perfect lunch. Would never have fired up coals for such a thing.

I bought a used Weber off craigslist. I loaded it in the back of the truck, drove it home and noticed one of the burner dials blew away coming home. Called Weber up and they mailed me a new one free of charge.

That is awesome. I found an old Zenith tv on some train tracks once. one of the old ones that look like furniture. It was missing knobs and had a broken back plate, but seemed to work. I called Zenith and they sent me a complete set of knobs and a new back plate. This was over twenty years ago, but it worked well for over two years and then I left it when I moved and the next tenant used it for a while too.

I love my cheap gas grill. 3 burner plus the side. never used the side. I use one on low and put the ribs on the non fire side for 5 or so hours. All I get are rave reviews.

I'm putting in a new pavestone deck soon. Will but the high end grill then. But I've had a charbroil for years with a good cover and never had a problem with it. I know it's the lower end of the spectrum, but if you take care of them, they'll last 10 years.

if the flavorizer bars are less than 5 years old they will replace if rusted through.

Anyone have any experience with Mission Grills from OSH? Just picked one of these up for father's day.

I'm not a big time griller, but have vowed to become one starting with the new grill.

I got a Big Green Egg two years ago and if I had known how great it was would have bought one 20 years ago. Nothing like it.

I just got the chargriller dual gas and charcoal with the side smoker box, I'm pretty happy so far.

Next time, and I don't know why, I think I may try one of these infrared grills... Just seem interesting and will be a fun challenge to learn to grill on.

Do it, but don't think you're done. I have seven grills/smokers, and need every one of them... So add this puppy to the list just to prep the wife that she's NOT in charge and if she wants the time off (from cooking and afternoon sex), you get grills!
