Why can't Tyreek be our #1 WR?
 

The more I'm sitting here thinking about how explosive and quick this guy is, I start questioning why can't he be our #1 WR?

Antonio Brown is probably smaller than he is.
NONE of the Chiefs WRs have better hands than he does.
NONE of the Chiefs WRs get more seperation.

I heard that there was some report that claimed TH has the most seperation of any WR in the league. It was statistical analysis by one of those Pro football statistician sites.

Why can't he be our #1? Anyone have a solid answer?

Knowledge of the game plan. Lack of route ability

IIRC, Reid has already said that he anticipates upping Hill's snaps substantially next season.

Did you not see where TH lead the league in separation according to some stat geeks?

Don't think he's as polished a route runner as he needs to be just yet.

I was going off what a commentator said on a game once. He didn't have full knowledge that Reid wanted so that's why he's in limited packages. I can see his usage going up to 80+% next year.


He can be a better Julian Edelman if he becomes a great route runner. Imagine that speed plus precision route running combined.

He was our #1 receiver in the 2nd half of the season.

Maclin was asleep
Conley was decent
not much else

Didn't know Hill was that tall. For some reason I thought he was shorter than that.

I guess the next questions is... can he be the focal point of our passing offense like Antonio Brown is for Pitt?

I get Kelce is HUGE, but I don't like his hands. Almost every pass he does manage to catch is a bobble.

The route he ran against the Steelers and didn't have anyone within 20 yards of him was a good one

Because we don't have a #1 QB.

I'd say realistically Ty is 5'8" or 5'9"

We have plenty of weapons...time to snag a QB to take advantage. **** it, cut Alex, get Romo, and take a Rd 1 QB.
