Represent!
So I opened a christmas present early. My new chiefs flag! Suck it h-town!
Now... how to mount it. The front of my house is low all the way across with deep eaves, no peak. If I hang it on the fascia, it will stick up and look funny. I thought of hanging it between my front windows like a banner, but then it will fade unevenly because of the shadow of the eave. Now I'm thinking post in the yard, but don't want to pay up to a c-note. I'm depending on the thrift and ingenuity of my fellow planeteers! If someone reminds me how to post a big picture I'll put up a pic of the house from the street. |
Hang it from an AIDS tree
|
I don't have an aids tree, but I do have two big pine trees. I considered that but I think the squirrels will f it up.

I would just wear it over your shoulders DBowe style.
PS - If we don't go to the SB, I'm hanging it on your ass |
1. Where's the flag?
2. Chiefs Planet will now have your mailing address, work history, previous and current lovers, and blood type in 30 minutes. Go. |

I'm thinking plant it in the middle of the yard, 1 bag of concrete, and I'm thinking pvc would be the cheapest pole. Drill holes in the pvc, paint it and use heavy wire to mount the flag to it. Cap the pvc so it doesn't fill up with water. |
Put small screw hooks in the facia.
I would assume the flag has one grommet, poke a hole in the other end for the other hook. THere you go. Can post pix of mine when I get home. |
How big is it? Why not put a flag mount on one of those columns, and hang it from there?
|
Is the flag 3 x 5 feet? If so, get this:
http://www.united-states-flag.com/6f...-aluminum.html and this: http://www.united-states-flag.com/ad...e-bracket.html and mount the bracket on one of those white vertical posts. |
maybe a flag pole?
