Old School Video Games
 

I recently bought Twisted Metal 2 (pic below) for the original playstation on Amazon to get down on some nostalgia gaming. It got me wondering...what other old school games have I completely forgotten about.

What are some gems from the old school days that you guys enjoyed?

For the purpose of the thread, we'll call anything prior to the 360/PS3 gen old school.

Starbound, chrono trigger, breath of fire 1 and 2, ultima: quest of the avatar, Final fantasy 3, final fantasy 7, 8, and 9.

THat should keep you entertained for a few months~

Sonic the Hedgehog, Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario World, Aladdin, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Yoshi's Island, Super Mario RPG, Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow, Contra, Turtles in Time, Killer Instinct, Golden Eye 007, Mario Kart, Super Mario 64, Diddy Kong Racing, NBA Jam, Final Fantasy VII, VIII and X, Resident Evil...

Hmmm. That's about all I can remember from my childhood at the moment.

I love Final Fantasy VII. It's in my top three games of all time. I went back and did a complete playthrough a couple of years ago. VIII is really cool as well.

I had never heard of it, but it does look like I'd enjoy it.

Concerning Mario Kart, I cut my teeth on Mario Kart 64, but I prefer the GameCube version.

Bro, you and I could have gamed anytime.

Its a great game, and has the best minigames of any FF, however, I think both 8 and 9 are superior games.

I was big into RPG/Puzzle.

Siphon Filter, Oddworld: Abe's Oddysey, Smackdown: Just bring it, Conkers bad Fur Day, Spyro, Star Wars Pod Racer, Pokemon Stadium, Mario Party, and Turok are just a few I didnt see when I skimmed through so far. Could be more added soon.
