You know... as much as I hate to admit it, Ron's not all that different looking from me. He's a little heavier and has darker hair... and well, a MUCH larger unit... but the resemblance isn't that far off. Damn... THAT's depressing. You'd think if God was gonna make me that ugly he could have given me the "talent" to work in porn.

I'm getting so stoked about it I got editing the other night around 4:30 p.m. My wife came home at 11 or so, said a few things to me (none of it registered) and some time later she came in and got my attention. She said, "When are you coming to bed?" I looked at the clock and it 2:47! I just got on a roll and the time flew by!

I'm not trying to brag, but I'm just really excited that I've gotten that focus and passion back -- I haven't had that in my life for a couple years.

To add to the excitement, I'm getting a script in the mail tomorrow from a VERY trusted writer and I'm REALLY excited about that.

Nice.

I look at $#it like "Primer" and "The United States of Leland" and see story-driven films that just amaze me...and cost next to nothing.

Just remember that you CAN make a really good film if you put yer' mind to it... :thumb:

Trust me, having a gigantic dick is overrated.

Oh wait, I think I meant being a gigantic dick.

I did a search for Director, then writer, then producer and sexy on google and got ZERO results.

Just saying...

No, you just need to let go. Leonardo DaVinci said, "Art is never finished, only abandoned." That goes for writing as well as filmmaking and holds true to all art forms. Nothing is perfect, but if it comes from your heart and has a soul it's worth putting out there. Let your audience decide.

I'm not writing for an audience, I'm writing for myself. And I have no heart or soul, I'm the most vacuous individual you'll never meet. It's probably no great loss than I've not been successful.

Not to sound like Stuart Smalley, but I know I have a few good stories in me. That's what I've been struggling with lately is I'd say I wanted to be a filmmaker, but always said I'd probably never succeed. Once I realized that statement was NOT "being realistic," it was being self defeatist I got a lot better. In the last few years I've let what once was my dream become my hobby. Not anymore!

As for story driven films -- that's what I want to do. As much as I want to be famous, I do NOT want to work in Hollywood. I want to be a very successful indie filmmaker. And we don't have any money, and investors in KC are few and far between, so we have to rely on good stories.

This latest is a killer! It's called "Obituary" and will be a web serial, 7 episodes, about 4 minutes each. Coming soon!

Awesome!

I can't imagine what it's like to see a project finally see completion on the screen.

I've got a story called Home I've put years into and can't get $3it for a response...but I love the story. It's seen 5 major revisions and versions. No one seems to agree on the final version of any of them...
