They've changed the race of Nick Fury, Heimdall and Kingpin in the movies.

The latest incarnation of Spider-Man is a Hispanic boy.

At some point or other, Thor and Black Panther have been replaced by females in the comics.

It seems that eventually you're just changing things to change things because you can't conjure up a new superhero that people will give a crap about and sell comics. So you're using the name and memory to force people to care, it does diminish the character for the old fans, especially if you don't make that changed characters story worth reading.

Glad that I don't really give a shit about the comics.

Why don't they just come up with a new superhero/heroine? Are they really that lazy or have they just run out of ideas?

You're telling me a comic book company has changed a character in a way that will inevitably revert to the familiar status quo in a year or two? People who weren't going to buy the comic either way will be furious.

They do these kind of things all the time it's only temporary

Because of the backlash, that "reveal" lasted about 10 days.

These comic book writers just need to stick with creating new stories, not putting "twists" on decades old characters in order to create a buzz.

Careful, you'll have the PC Police up your ass wondering why you don't think a black woman can be Tony Stark with statements like that.

I'm with you. I see nothing wrong with putting a black woman in one of the Iron Suits, just don't change a pillar character in the universe to the opposite race and gender. It's stupid and gimmicky. You want a female Wolverine? Fine, make a female equivalent to Logan and have them team up. Same with Thor, Spider Man, Iron Man - any of them.
