****Official Free Agency Moves Thread****

Gonna try something new this year, guys. I'm going to try and update this thread as much as possible so that guys will be able to have a quick reference guide for official moves before jumping into the forum discussion.

Try not to give me too hard of a time if I can't keep up with it, though. Moves happen fast, and I'm not always here.

Missed the Djax signing. Should be a good fit w/ Jameis. Albert and Thomas traded for 7th rounders. Oof

I think it's odd that the Julius and Albert trades were separate transactions. My guess is theyre worried about someone failing a physical ajd didn't want it to affect the other half of the deal.

Halfcan 03-09-2017 05:55 PM

Do the Jags suck so bad they don't have to follow the Cap?

They throw money around like the are playing Monopoly and just won a beauty contest.

Texan's cornerback A.J. Bouye signed with Jacksonville Jaguars. Five years, 67.5 million.

They're different years on the picks but yeah.. I doubt anybody is counting on a 7th rounder contributing that year unless it's a K or P

Halfcan 03-09-2017 05:55 PM

I can see why the Chiefs are hanging on the sidelines- lots of huge contracts for average talent.

The Browns had more picks in the 2016 NFL draft than any other team. But their 2016 haul is nothing compared to what they have in 2017 and 2018.

After yesterday’s Brock Osweiler trade, the Browns now have a whopping eight picks in the first two rounds of the next two drafts, as well as the first pick in the third round this year, for a whopping nine Top 65 picks in 2017 and 2018.

I root for the guy. He really needs to go somewhere where he can be a pass rusher if he wants to get paid.

Thanks, guys. I've been a bit more busy today than usual. I'm about to do a mass update now.

And just to throw it out there, my intent with this thread is definitely not to steal discussion from other threads throughout the lounge. I just wanted to try and have a thread for folks to quick reference official news when they fall behind in the mega thread.

That seems really cheap for the Patriots, considering that Ealy was the only guy who refused to take a dive in the Peyton Manning Farewell Super Exhibition Bowl Game.

Maaaan....I think that was all a made up storyline for TV. There's no way thatbman believed in Mermaids because he's seen them on TV, but not in Dinosaurs because he's never seen them in real life.

Looking that way. I wonder if the brass tries to add depth in FA or the draft? Not a great class for NT types. A few run stuffers available on the market though...

Newhouse heads to Raiders on two-year deal
Raiders signed OT Marshall Newhouse, formerly of the Giants, to a two-year contract.

The Giants' No. 3 tackle last season, Newhouse should slide into the same role in Oakland. He's a replacement for Menelik Watson, who has departed for the Broncos. Newhouse provides insurance for RT Austin Howard, who is rehabbing from serious shoulder surgery.

If they are willing to nickel and dime for $400,000 then I think we will see more re-structures and moves on mid-tier FA's by next week. I believe some cut candidates will emerge once the Chiefs acquire some of these guys. Harris and Gaines should be worried...
