Sunset Overdrive
 

Sunset Overdrive was announced almost a year ago, but only now is there much information coming out about it. Made by the creators of Ratchet and Clank (and more), this game is being branded as "the game that Insomniac has been building up to for decades".

Set in a colorful post-apocalyptic cityscape, this game combines the fun movement style of Tony Hawk with the hordes from Dead Rising and the weapon selection from Borderlands. The developer's mantra throughout the creation of this game: "Fun trumps realism!"

As of the creation of this thread, Sunset Overdrive does not yet have a release date, but it is suspected that it will come out during the holiday season.

What do you think of this game? Are you looking forward to it? Will it be enough to placate Xbox One's detractors?

Personally, I was completely ambivalent about this game until a few days ago. Based on the things I've seen recently, this game looks like a lot of fun!

Its sad that the title is being wasted on a video game IMO... that's a GREEEAT band name.

Whoever out there is aspiring to be the "new" Eagles should've snatched that up.

It definitely looks awesome. I can't wait!

Xbox is also remaking a Battletoads and Perfect Dark

Sony fans are pissed at this game per the IGN comments. It is almost comical.

Sony has to be pissed as well they did not budge considering the developer was once one of their stars.

Looks like a borderlandsesqe game.

This game will only be successful if they bring back that sweet pause music.

Been excited about it since the C3 cgi trailer. This trailer didnt deflate my hype.

Fallout 4 is rumored to be a X1 exclusive as well. Lol, Microsoft is going to start buying all of the third party rights.

Still don't feel like I'm missing anything. Looks like it lacks story.

Also, did they make the Fizzco mascot look like Sackboy on purpose? Didn't LittleBigPlant hit Ratchet and Clank pretty hard? Forcing them to do that silly multiplayer version? Maybe that's why they went exclusive with Xbox
