Or move. Google Fiber's great.

We should have had google fiber but renaming our city to Google,, Ks just wasn't enough for those pricks so they chose KC.

That will go over well.

What the hell did you do?

Have you tried a 30/30/30 reset?

30/30/30 reset didn't do anything. tried it twice.
Decided to try the Gargoyle firmware that everything on their website stated it was safe for my router. I found several successful installs in their forums. boom bricked. I have found 3 options to fix and can't get them to work. Of course, one of them requires Linux to fix which isn't an option for me. Another needs me to use a terminal and the terminals I am using are not connecting to it. the DD WRT website is crashed today too so I don't even have that as a resource.

Beyond ticked off since so many installed it just fine on this router. Just my damn luck I would be the odd one out.

today has been complete bad luck for me. not only this but got a jury duty notice for pool 4 so I am guaranteed to get called unless I can delay it.

I know it's not the same model, but here is a link for a recovery.

thanks. I have already tried that one and a few others. Nothing seems to work. Contacted Buffalo and am sending it in for Warranty replacement. Hopefully they won't work on it to be able to determine I farted around with the firmware and just send me the replacement. Otherwise I am stuck with that damn Belkin with a crap firmware. Good router but you cannot track anything on it.

You can run Linux on any PC using a Live CD.

Not on mine. I've tried several flavors on USB and DVD. My laptop seems to block them as it always locks up on bootup.

cox wont do anything until you go past 2 TB up and down. Then they started messing with my modem. Problems went away the next billing cycle. Their official statement is they do not punish you for excessive bandwidth. They are full of shit. Only one cox employee admitted to me that they disable heavy bandwidth users. It is automated.

LMAO yeah, next laptop gets linux no matter what. I pretty much only use them for web surfing anyway. Suppose I should stay away from HP though since this one has never let me install Linux on it.

Well then I never have to worry about it. I'll never hit 2TB. At least not for about 5-10 years.

It's probably an AHCI error, some of the distros changed the AHCI drivers and it has a bug.

You could try changing the controller Mode in the bios to IDE, but a Warning it that could hose your Windows install.

Wonder if he could install VirtualBox and do it that way?
