Would you straight up trade Alex Smith for Carr, if you could..

I can't do a poll on this crap phone so chime in...

Who would you rather have, Right NOW,

Smith or Carr?

Reerun_KC 08-23-2015 09:21 PM

Which Carr?

TimBone 08-23-2015 09:22 PM

I don't think Derek Carr is going to amount to much in the NFL. So, I'd stick with what we have. Alex gives us a better shot to win now, although it's still a longshot.

RobBlake 08-23-2015 09:23 PM

Carr got screwed going to the Raiders but he has great potential and is a natural leader

Hammock Parties 08-23-2015 09:25 PM

I watched Carr throw a beautiful deep ball last night. Complete. 50 yard gain or something.

So at least he has that going for him...which is more than Alex can say.

Dude if you were able to watch the Raiders of the early 90s. You would of ****ing worshipped Al Davis.

All they did was throw bombs game after game. They mostly sucked ass. Nevver a threat tonwin anything. But you would of latched on to ol Als dick like no other.

This place is really going to shit.

The same people who scrutinize Alex Smith for not throwing it down field want a guy who had a 5.5 YPA last year. Carr is one of the most overhyped QB's I've seen. He has a chance to be solid, but I don't ever see him as a top 10 guy

TambaBerry 08-23-2015 09:40 PM

Seriously though how can a qb play for as long as Alex has and not able to throw it deep. I mean how the **** was he the number one overall pick.

Hootie 08-23-2015 09:45 PM

Hilarious.

Here's what I know:

Carr will never amount to Alex Smith. Ever. He'll never get there.

Now, what has Alex Smith amounted to? Not much. He's basically a "tweener." He's too good to be a backup in a 32 team league but he's not good enough to be a franchise QB, or maybe even a "good" QB.

But Carr? Dude isn't even on Mark Sanchez's level. He's not good. I have a strong feeling not a whole lot of people watched Derek Carr on this board last year because he doesn't have "it", he wasn't good, and he'll never be even league average in terms of being an NFL QB.

FringeNC 08-23-2015 09:48 PM

I didn't see Carr play that much, but damn, how many errant passes did he throw in our game out there that should have been picked but weren't?

Good enough to beat Alex and our elite D.

yeah .. Carr beat us

yep

not Latavius Murray. Not Marcel Reece. Derek Carr.

18-35
175 yards

...but I guess the game he lost to us he completed 27 passes. You know, of 56. Pretty good. 10 QBR's are good.

Wow. Ever stop to consider why that kind of performance was good enough to beat the Chiefs?
