KC is 21st in the league in rushing attempts per game, and that includes over 35 carries from Smith. Andy Reid has probably never finished top half of the league in rushing attempts. It's not some hot take that Reid does not have a commitment to running the football.

What are you trying to argue here? That Reid doesn't have a history of not committing to the run? He hasn't run the ball a lot this year, and he hasn't run the ball a lot over the course of his career. In the conversation of run/pass balance, Andy Reid has ALWAYS been a pass heavy coach.

I'm simply using that history as a possible explanation for this Oline's mediocrity/softness in the run game. As in, maybe the running game doesn't get adequate emphasis in practice. Maybe that's not it at all, maybe these guys are just soft pussies that can't win at the point of attack. I just know the lions share of running success under Reid's Chiefs has come on the talent of guys like Charles and Hunt more than from exceptional line play.
