Weird problem with Windows 7x64

I have toolbars on my taskbar to keep my desktop clean.

I may have lost a few of you with that sentence. lol

Anyway, i normally put the little program icons in whatever order i want.

The other day Window's Explorer crashed.

Now the toolbar icons rearrange themselves in alphabetical order after every reboot.

This just started with windows explorer crash. Did a setting get changed? Did my windows profile get corrupted?

i know its a random issue but i'm to use to having them in a certain order. Especially helps in the bigger groups.

Thanks, any hints might help

Take a hammer to it.

That's my go-to technical fix for everything. After I try rebooting, shaking, trying to make deals with the equipment, shouting and crying.

I don't have any toolbars set up like you do but can you right click on the box somewhere and get to properties? There may be "sort by" options.

Also if you are pointing at a folder for your quick launch toolbar check the sort options in that folder.

Can you lock the task bar order then Arrange them by drag and drop?

You may have to ditch the folder you have now, don't delete it but remove it from your task bar. Create a new (empty) folder and make it be a quick launch. Then add your menu items putting them in the order you want. You have a 50-50 chance!
