I somewhat concur, and that is not white sox hatred speaking. Well mostly not, anyway, I think.

I hesitate to advance an opinion since my sample size is currently 2 ballparks (I'll see almost all before I leave), but there were many features I didn't care for. In the distance it looks like the steel girder skeleton of a building whose construction was abandoned years ago, now all rusted out, and the way the stadium faces there is very little shade anywhere.

I know this will be a stretch. But anyone have opening day tickets they don't intend on using?

Hosmer was in right field. He had been drinking with a girl named "Mimi" while he was out here. My friend JP goes. "We've been partying with Mimi!" Hosmer tipped the cap and laughed. He made a night play in right field as well. Good moment for sure.

Just got back from the game. It was pretty close for most of the night, Sanchez mostly looked decent, shakey at times but pulled through. The diamondbacks refused to allow a DH, so our pitchers had to hit and Butler didn't play, but we overpowered them with offense anyway.

Salt River Fields at Talking Stick (located on an indian reservation near their casino) is a very, very impressive spring training ballpark. It is the newest park, looks great, and since its Arizona's spring home its always crowded. (From researching my trip, I knew this would be the case here and probably also in San Francisco's home park, so I bought those tickets way in advance) Tonight was a sellout. As you can see in the picture, even the outfield grass was jam-packed with people sitting on blankets.

I guy recently moved to my neighborhood and it turns out he's an avid autograph collector. After finding out that I'm a huge baseball and Royals fan, he gave me this.

Gio and Mazzaro are optioned to Omaha. Yuni might opening day 2b.

A week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and a couple days :D

I was really hoping johnny g would play well enough this spring to lock up the job, but he hasn't. He's probably still getting over the hip surgery. And his defense is enough of a negative that he doesn't play if he's not a plus bat (.300/15 hr).

I could stomach a Getz/Yuni platoon. Not sure if that's what will happen, though.

Yep, I know its spring and small sample size and all that, but his bat needed to carry him. If he cant beat Yuni, he needs to go back and prove that he's outgrown Omaha.

Well.. this probably works out well for Dayton, he gets his boy Yuni back on the Royals.
