The move was to never trade for Cassel and draft Sanchez.

You don't have to be a genious to figure it out.

Instead you hand 36 million to Matt ****ing Cassel and drop another 25+ guaranteed on a mid first rounder like Tyson Jackson.

Yep, because we were dirty sanchez away from a superbowl....

If a shit ton of teams wanted that scrub, he would have fetched more than 1/3 of what Cutler went for, and 1/2 of what Jason Peters went for.

Either Scott Pioli really, truly is a magical talent evaluator, or his gambles are going to keep the franchise deep in the cellar for another decade.

Would be nice if you could actually provide a football take...

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-25-2009 02:46 PM

Wow. The Jets paid almost nothing for that.

Yeah, it's just too bad that Cassel actually DIDNT get a new contract. So yeah...keep moaning.

beach tribe 04-25-2009 02:47 PM

Hey check it out. The Jets have both of Hamas' latest two draft busts. Gholston, and Sanchez.

OH yes. The Jets WILL put him out there before he's ready, and he's gonna crash, and burn because of it, and I can't say we wouldn't have done the same.

Basileus777 04-25-2009 02:47 PM

Considering the shitty deal the Browns got, I understand why Pioli didn't trade down.

Mecca 04-25-2009 02:47 PM

I like how questioning a pick is met with..

Pioli!

Really say something else.
