XBox Live Gold Subscription
 

My family got our first XBox for Christmas. We have a 3 month subscription to Live Gold. Whats the best usage of this service? What are your favorite features? I noticed what appear to be some TV channel options?

Playing Online, Netflix.....

Online multiplayer is the ultimate feature with XBL. It's what most do with an XBL account. Other than that, there's Netflix, HBO's Go service, Amazon's streaming service (among other, lesser-known streaming services). YouTube access is handy, too. All in all, I think it's worth every penny.

The ESPN app is worth having too.

And downloading demos of games is good...

Online, as in playing games you own with other players online?

Download the Walking Dead Game, think the first episode is free and all 5 episodes are like 12 bucks or something.

i'm in this exact same boat - except I bought a 4000 pt card for $38 instead of the year membership - my mistake so i got a 3mo one for now

I am disappointed that my child accounts don't get gold access so if my kids want to add their friends they have to add my name... Micro$uck

well, with the Kinect bundle we got Kinect Adventures and Kinect Disneyland. We also DLed the full game of Trials HD. Also with the Digital Entertainment Bundle we have 5 digital games like Snoopy and The Maw.


in other words, no grown-up games.
