Quite a few.

EDIT: Although, define "close". For a person that lives in the midwest "close to a beach" could be different to what I consider "close to a beach" as a person that lives on the coast of Australia.

so what does the average Australian think of America?

I talked to an Irish guy on a different board once and he surprisingly knew a lot of our history, even more than me, and he had a very negative opinion of my country.

I was soon people from other countries think we're sad lazy slobs. which could be true for a lot of America, but I think the large majority are very hard working people with good values.

a lot of people here in America seem to hate America. but I love it for the same reason I love the chiefs, its my home.
