You're probably gonna say I'm nuckin futs, Poz... but parts of that sounded TOTALLY like Jimi Hendrix to me, as I was listening my first thought was "heres a Hendrix song I could probably master in about 10-15 minutes".

Honest to God, and maybe I shouldn't admit this... but I kinda liked this song.

All the while knowing that this band wasn't gonna last.

Actually, they put out an album in late 2012 and have been touring lately. At least until Justin starts the smack again.

And you should like this song. They're a GREAT band. You have to acknowledge the fact that they're really not serious about it and just enjoy it for what it is - mindless rocking fun.

Black Metal but certainly an influence on many of the Stoner/Doom bands out there today. A classic.

KC homies Keef Mountain are playing the show.

Lol @ KC. Due to a shooting incident outside the original venue, this show has been moved to a small record store in KC causing a couple of the local stoner bands to be dropped from the bill.

The Poz 03-02-2014 10:49 PM

The Sword/Big Business show was spectacular! They're in KC soon. Go see 'em.
Big Biz is my new favourite band.

This Windhand show has been moved to the Riot Room tomorrow. It's a free show at midnight. Local stoners Keef Mountain and Hosferatu are playing a pre-show at Mills Record store around the corner, free as well.

Free stoner/doom tomorrow night in KC.

Years ago I grabbed the Unida/Dozer split disc and couldn't put it down. Great stuff, top to bottom.

That Unida song you posted way back is still my favorite song in this thread, that song is just a freakin piledriver... followed by that foreign chick band and then probably this.

I'm re-listening to the Nirvana concert I posted right now, but as soon as its over I'm gonna go back and check those first two out again, its been awhile.

The Poz 03-22-2014 04:17 PM

As much of a dick Josh Homme is, this is still an amazing song from their 1st and self titled record. Amazing album! Nothing else that QOTSA has released compares to this. Nothing!
