OS X users...did Apple change something in Safari 7.0.2?

It used to be that Safari honored websites that sent the "autocomplete=off" flag.

So if you tried to login to say Yahoo! Mail, you would get a prompt that Safari cannot save your password to the Autofill database. In order to enable it, you had to enable password security and auto screen lock or something like that. My iMac is physically secure so rather than enable all that, I just typed in my passwords manually.

Today I went to login to my NAS, which I haven't done since I upgraded to Mavericks, and it suddenly saved my password without any warning or anything.

Did they change something?

Probably. This is buggy as hell. Some users are reporting that their history is saved even in private browsing mode.

I AM DISAPPOINT.

I haven't had any other issues and even this I would consider an "enhancement", at least for me.

Yes, it looks like it forgot the previous setting. I use 1Password so it's not a feature I use on my personal machines, but it's pretty handy and from what I read rather secure.

I'm still on 5.1.1

Any performance reasons to upgrade?...

OK, so Apple decided it wasn't a security risk anymore and just changed it to ignore the autocomplete flag?

I use KeePassX but unfortunately it doesn't autofill on OS X...

Performance upgrades?

You're missing out on a ton of features...
