Borderlands til 4AM - Whoops!

I am making it a point to do wrap up all optional missions as they come along before I continue with the story mission - time consuming but worth it I think

Husband and I have been anxiously awaiting Borderlands 2 and I'm so happy it's here.

We're playing split screen (vertical because I can't stand the horizontal!). He's a gunzerker and I'm a siren (again). We originally started out both on his ps3 account, the same way we did last time. But after playing for 2-3 hours and making it to sanctuary, we turned it off. The next day we're getting ready to start where we left off and I realized that none of my challenge achievement token upgrades had saved. All of his had. So we figured out that in order for those to save, my character needed to be on my own PS3 account. Reluctantly and slightly annoyed, we started another game on my account. He played my siren as the main and I played around on assassin. We made it back to level 8 and to the same place we were before. Now no issues with my information saving.

Last night he was at work, so I started yet another game on just assassin on my account. I haven't even left the southern shelf yet (hell I've yet to fight Boombewm) and I'm already a 7.5. I left no inch uncovered in any of the areas and had a blast. I never played BL1 on single player, so this was fun. I can't wait for him to take another train out so I can play alone again.

I'm still having a bit of trouble getting into assassin though. I'm one hell of a sniper, but the special move is not helping me. I must be doing it wrong. I have no idea why I suck at it so much!

All in all, I still love the siren the best though. I love phaselock!

I'm curious what everyone is playing as and what kind of builds your leaning towards. I like playing around with the skill tree builders on their website.

i'm going to do one at level 20 and and then one at 49/50 - thats the plan anyway

im level 12 i believe. Im still in the small percentage of people with network issues (has something to do with how steamworks is relaying the connect Ip with Bl2) So can only play with a few people, and noone else :"(

I accidently used the key on one account. Two epic pistols at lvl 11. I have a feeling it is random.

And do you know you have two keys? I never saw my key in inventory.

Good point. I should know better than that. I'm thinking of going with something gamerish anywho. I'll find one eventually. It's not like I was super unique with my name either, but I've yet to take the time to figure out where/how to change it.

The box you open with the golden key is in Sancutary. It's near the city square/fountain area inside a building. I almost opened it on accident because it was there, calling my name, but my husband stopped me. He opened it on his other character without knowing what it was.

I am sure some knowthis but, more the merrier.

Get your group, preferably 4. And go gamble. You get dupes of every winning but weapons. Each of us did about 10 pulls. Hrdly lost any money with winnings and weapon sale. Also got 20 eridium.

What do you get exactly for opening the box? I know it's something level specific.....but is it just a random weapon? Do you get to choose from a list of weapons? I don't want to open the shit and get a ****ing pistol.

I opened the box last night at level 15 and got a rare purple level 15 rocketlauncher.... and I'm a assassin... ::sigh::

See....that's ****ing stupid. They should bring up a rare of each gun and let you pick.

In fact....the "golden" guns that you got from preordering this game were pretty much disappointing. They were no good after about 10 minutes of playing.

Bloodshed tree & melee/shotgun everything

Nah i'm going almost fully sniping and some cunning -- not a single point in bloodshed right now. I'm doing fine focusing with my sniper and pistols. I do, however, break out the shotgun almost every time I cloak and rush an enemy - it's pretty satisfying.

Put it in your stash for when you reroll.

You'll eventually pick one up (it just appeared in my inventory after I had been in sanctuary for a bit -- I honestly don't remember ever seeing a prompt that I've obtained a key. I was around level 10 or 11 when I noticed that I had acquired it some how. Now if you sign up for gearbox via the extras menu - after confirming your new account, you will get a on-screen prompt awarding you another key.

I dont know how the heck you got one. Gearbox even said the only ways right now to get a key are pre-order, SHIFT, or twitter.

You can always cheat and edit the ini file if ya want a golden key bad enough...lolz

I one shot most enemies now at lvl 14 with a sniper rifle as a commando. Head shots have the critical multiplier. And ifthey are a few lvls lower it is insane damage.

Are you playing w/ Zero?

I'm level 15 assassin (zero) and like the video above, I'm stuck on Jakob's weapons -- insane critical damage.
I can one shot most enemies with a headshot -- minus badasses and a few other tough ones.

I'm only level 10 and have yet to find a Sniper Rifle that I can hit headshots w/ over 80% of the time when they are just standing there. Hoping to find one soon.

I'm a gunzerker. I think I'm a 7...maybe an 8....I've only used/earned 4 skill points so far and used all 4 on Brawn Hard to Kill (Increases your maximum health and gives you a small amount of health regeneration.) I wanted the health regen.
I'm not exactly blown away by the gunzerking skill...but I don't really have any badass guns yet either. usually grab two smgs before using the skill.
It took me a while in B1 to experiment with all 4 characters and to realize that there's a lot more to the game than Brick! (I thought Brick was so cool)
now I'm wondering if I'm missing the boat by being a gunzerker.

Commando, but I should of clarified, i use burst. Basically I. Get 3 headshots with one trigger pull. And most of my pts go into crit for build.

I'm the Commando right now.....but I'm thinking about starting over as Zero. I was Mordecai in the original BL but I thought I'd try something different this game. I'm just not impressed so far with the Commando.

Zerkers, seem like they would get better as they lvl and get guns.

Really? I rock shit. Course I have epic and legendary guns.. I rock the shit out of the 5% better gun find.. Does anyone know if there is a better one?

I've been a badass in B1 for so long I forgot what it's like to get my ass kicked. kinda refreshing. I wandered into a place on the map I wasn't instructed to go to yet...and they kicked my damn teeth in!! I went back about 3/4 times knowing I wasn't levelled up enough, but just to try....finally ran the hell outta there like a bitch. hahaha. I'll be back mofos!

Started up a new game with Zero last night. Much ****ing better.

My play style just didn't fit with the Commando.

I prefer the commando having both at early 30'ish levels, waiting to find the Bee shield to make zero more tolerable.

It is always a little hard to let go of a gun that served you well.

Do you guys like the sniper rifle with bursts of fire or the one shot.

Random drop.. The shotgun that I have with an AI came from a mission -- this one encourages you to kill.

bursts of fire. I didn't like them at first cause they use up too much ammo.
you don't have to let it shoot the entire burst if you don't want it to. aim and pull the trigger & then immediately let go of the aim button/trigger and you only shoot two shots.

Go in with a friend (more the merrier) and meet him at a place where the autosave isnt going to trigger, so like any square.

Have everyone give money to one individual and then all that gave their money hit the 360 home button and exit out of the game by hitting Y and home.

The person who received the money can just hang out while everyone exits and comes back in.

When everyone comes back in they will still have their money (items works too) and the person they gave the money to will have all of the combined money.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

15 minutes of this and you will all have millions of dollars. Play the slots and reap the rewards.

I have 2 sniper rifles now. One for burst mode.

I took the shield option instead, as did my husband. We both put them on and went to bed. Next day, we go out to kill some baddies and we keep hearing this AI voice going on and on. We're like "oh crap, robots again." We kept killing looking for the robots to spawn and they never did. Then we realized it was our shields talking to us. It says some funny shit. I loved that mission anywho because of how funny the AI was.

Same method kids use to dupe the weapons/equipment.

You can dupe anywhere as long as there isn't one of those autosave camera looking thingy's next to you.

there's a dude at Sanctuary, he wears shades and always has a weapon on his back. he will give you a weapon if you talk to him. he's given me two, and the first one was a badass sniper rifle....I sold the second but it was worth good money. now every time I go there I won't leave until I find him.
