I expect 94.8% less posts with the Avalanche and Predators playing golf.

KC_Connection 04-28-2013 10:26 PM

Leafs to take out Boston. Or not, but being on a playoff schedule again is cool.

Stanley Nickels 04-28-2013 10:45 PM

Are the Blackhawks still the team to beat? I haven't been paying attention since the start of the season one month ago (I kid).

Pushead2 04-29-2013 01:56 AM

I can't wait!!

Predarat 04-29-2013 08:01 AM

If Chicago loses in the 1st or 2nd round, bet they go out and get Louongo.

Sfeihc 04-29-2013 08:05 AM

22 years and counting. Let's go Red Wings! This one was actually too close for comfort and also the first of those 22 years without Stevie Y. and/or Nick Lidstrom.

Heh, I love the playoffs, so that won't get rid of me... and there are several Blues fans who can complain about losing in the first round.

Hahah I also will still be posting, maybe not as much but will be watching. It will be much less stressful too. Another good thing is ill get de-friended less on Facebook, and Un-Followed less on Twitter. I have been known to go on profanity laced tirades on those over Preds playoff games. Kind of like the dad in A Christmas Story.

Prepare your anuses for Stanley Cup Playoff overtime.
MIN/CHI and LAK/STL may be heading to extras.

That was nuts, both OT goals scored within a minute of each other. Both those games were awesome.

RockChalk 05-01-2013 09:59 AM

Nice to see some of that bad luck that StL usually gets go against the other team for a change.

Bearcat 05-01-2013 10:10 AM

Blackhawks should have won that game 1-0, and they barely showed up long enough to do that... early in the season I heard it wasn't the same old Wild team, but it is...

However, it's cool to see kids that I've watched in person while they were in college make it to the NHL, and Jason Zucker looks like he belongs and has some potential.

Wish I could catch the Blues instead of home Royals games, because that could be a much better series this year.

Predarat 05-01-2013 02:40 PM

Louongo to start tonight, if he wins and gets hot, that will get intersting to see how they handle that.

MMXcalibur 05-01-2013 06:09 PM

Pens up 2-0 on the Isles.
Last year's playoff abortion is fading away with each ticking second. Great way to start this off.

Predarat 05-02-2013 08:47 AM

wow last nights games sucked, hope for better games tonight!

Bearcat 05-02-2013 07:37 PM

Quick tweaked something in warmup... weird postseason for that stuff. One good thing about May snow.... KC gets the Blues over the Royals.

OnTheWarpath15 05-02-2013 08:12 PM

Hate to be Pete here, but...

Refs - 1

Blues - 0

Those two calls to give LA a 5-3 advantage were laughable.

OnTheWarpath15 05-02-2013 08:13 PM

Nice knee-on-knee Brown, you shitbag.

Didn't see the calls, but did stop by to read about the conspiracy. :p

Bearcat 05-02-2013 08:19 PM

I like Dustin Brown... or at least want to... I like how he plays on the edge, and loved watching him take it to the Sedin girls last year, but he definitely crosses the line at times (didn't see the knee though).

He went headhunting on Schwartz in the neutral zone, and when he missed high, he stuck out the knee.

Brett Hull was on NHLN earlier talking about the lack of respect between players... it was kind of a big deal in the playoffs last year, and it doesn't seem like it's improved at all this year. Already one guy suspended, plus a few other questionable hits and crap like that.

kcpasco 05-02-2013 08:30 PM

I wouldn't mind a 5 minute major for a real nasty hit on Brown. In fact I'd celebrate it.

OnTheWarpath15 05-02-2013 08:57 PM

Nice cheapshot, Penner.

OnTheWarpath15 05-02-2013 09:38 PM

Tie game.

Demonpenz 05-02-2013 09:41 PM

should be a tasty finish for the blues game.

Bearcat 05-02-2013 09:43 PM

And that's why the Blues don't go deep into the playoffs... :doh!:

Bearcat 05-02-2013 09:51 PM

That's what the Kings get for playing for OT. They got really lazy in the last 3 minutes.

I'll take the crap on behalf of the Kings. Congrats, guys. That's a huge win for you guys.

We'll see you bitches at Staples Center. :D

MMXcalibur 05-02-2013 10:16 PM

Last year, Quick doesn't give that up.
I don't know what that means, but I'm not sensing any more magic for the Kings.

He's got 2 goals in 7 mins

Bearcat 05-03-2013 05:59 PM

It's not like the Islanders look that bad, either... when the Pens want to win, they're pretty damn impressive. I hope the Blackhawks are watching... it's a shame to watch all that talent just go through the motions.

DaFace 05-03-2013 06:36 PM

Pens-Islanders has turned into a pretty fun game.

MMXcalibur 05-03-2013 08:24 PM

Credit to the Isles defense, but three of those four goals were so goddamn fluky. Couple that with blowing a 3-1 lead where we had the Isles by their throat. Makes me want to punch my newborn square in her stupid, fat face.

Fully expect the Pens to bounce back in Game 3, but Christ...you'd think Fleury would learn how to play the backwall after giving up a pair during the SCF Game 1 in Detroit a few years back.

Just words on a message board, but.... dude.

Only the 2nd time I've seen the Islanders this year, besides game one, and the time before that was Crosby's other return, but I'm sure that's the best they've played this season... and yeah, there were a couple of flukey goals. Great energy though.

KC_Connection 05-03-2013 09:03 PM

Anything can happen in the NHL playoffs. It's why I hold out hope of the Leafs winning a game.

Demonpenz 05-03-2013 09:33 PM

Penguins didn't play well tonight and bad bounce at the end. They will get it going. THE NHL needs its stars to play well so everyone gets money.

OnTheWarpath15 05-04-2013 07:20 AM

And people wonder why the NHL lags behind in ratings - the officiating and league decision making is atrocious.

Eller gets hit cleanly, but in the aftermath, his face hits the ice. Blood everywhere. Match penalty. 2 game suspension.

Dustin Brown throws an elbow at Jaden Schwartz' head, and when he misses, throws out the knee to take him down. 2:00 penalty. No suspension.

What a goddamn joke.

Wow...I didn't realize that Gryba got suspended. While I feel bad for Eller, I don't really get how that hit could be anything but clean.

I definitely agree that the NHL's suspension system is completely and utterly broken. It's maddeningly inconsistent.
