I'm honestly not sure if any movie had a bigger effect on my child hood, hell, my life, than Smokey and the Bandit.

I wouldn't be doing what i do for a living if not for Smokey and the Bandit. I would not drive the toy car that I have if not for Smokey and the Bandit.

Smokey and the Bandit inspired an everlasting affinity for the Pontiac Trans Am/Firebird.

That dream to own one for myself inspired me through out my child hood, pushed me, and was largely responsible for my desire to escape my child hood.

I have the same die-cast model sitting on my desk today that i bought when i was 14 y/o.

While other kids wanted Italian Exotics, i kept my eyes on something much more attainable.
