While I want the Chiefs to draft a QB in the first, I also want them to start throwing #s at the position. Their problem (outside of being scared to draft a guy in the 1st) is that they largely don't try at drafting QBs.

Alex Smith has completed very few 16 game seasons in his career if I remember right.

Point is, if they draft in the 3rd and they think a guy has some game, throw numbers at the QB position.

It's pretty simple. Can't win if you don't play.
