Tell me about how you Grocery shop nowadays...

Do you shop online, and do the drive thru pickup?

Do you shop online and have your groceries delivered?

Or do you do it the old fashioned way and go into store and shop yourself?

Please tell me.....

We painstakingly make a list throughout the week, Get up on Saturday mornings, have breakfast and head out to the store. Once there, we realise that we left the list on the fridge, go inside and try to remember what we need. Its a fun game the Mrs and I like to play

given the fact the grocer is between my work and home, i shop every day, and cook all meats fresh, hardly every do i freeze the meats unless there is more than i need. matter of fact i need to go thru our freezer downstairs soon. (i only started this practice after my hand injury where i had to shop with hand baskets instead of trollies. no one was home thru the days to help carry tons of groceries) :D

ROFL

I do that sometimes. Or I leave the list in my purse and forget it's there.

We make a list every two weeks. Get online and enter list into Dillons Clicklist. Wife stops at Clicklist location on her way home from work. They load the groceries in her car. Easy and convenient.

Commando in the rascals. Drive in reverse the entire trip.

We like to select our meat, fish, and produce so no online or delivery. We belong to a CSA so get that half the year and then shop at Sprouts and BJs, mostly, along with local farmers markets. Trader Joe's or Publix sometimes.

I live 1.5 blocks from the grocery store, and I walk past it on my way to and from work. I'll stop 4 or 5 days a week and pick up whatever I'm in the mood for that day. We keep very little grocery inventory in the house.

Costco—for staples, frozen goods, canned goods and certain meats but also for summer fruit because it has the best prices.

Farmer's Market— to get fresh produce: veggies mostly and staple veggies like onions. They also have great selection of fresh herbs and have a meat and fish section which I use once in awhile. I go here several times a week as it's a few blocks from me. This way what I get is fresh.

Publix— dairy products, cold cuts, those little bottles of wine that I can use for cooking, some condiments, coffee, some meat, my organic carrots, some snack foods, stevia soda, miscellaneous items depending on meal or recipe's needs.

Organic or Natural Supermarkets—bulk spices and dried herbs, bulk spelt flour, quinoa, gluten free items like my favorite muesli cereal, light millet bread and spelt tortillas whole grain and white that I freeze.

Fish Market
- for wild fish from the north that's not frozen ( As of past month it's gone. :deevee:) Now I have a longer drive for a place with fewer choices or a much longer drive for one with an amazing amount of choices.

I occasionally look inside an Aldi's or a Sprouts ( new here) to see what they might have and get a few things. More Sprouts than Aldi's thogh. On occasion Walmart but only for a few items at a better price. Fresh Market during the holidays because they have certain items I can't get anywhere else like white yogurt covered pretzels my daughter loves; their pastry-wrapped brie with apricot for the cheese platter etc.

Sounds like a lot but I don't get everyone of those items every time—just where I go to get them.

I’m mainly using the app Shipt to order groceries from the main grocery store down here. It also works for the main liquor store chain, Target and Costco. $50 a year. I always tip the delivery person good too. Worth the money. It’s allowed me to get fresh more often.

Gee some of these delivery services sound like a good idea. Don't know if I'd want them to pick out my fresh produce though.

Sprouts for meats and produce
Walmart pick up for the rest.

l went to Jacksonville for a couple of weeks for work. Got a hotel with a kitchenette. Had groceries delivered to the hotel room. Kept me on diet track.

Publix mostly and it sucks bigly. The lack of competition in FL grocery stores is appalling.
