Attending Chiefs Home Game vs. Raiders
Hi All!
After 42 years of being a lowly Chiefs Fan in the middle Pacific, (my earliest memories are of listening to George Blanda crush my hopes of another Chiefs Superbowl visit time-and time again on a crackly little transistor AM radio) I am finally going to see my first contest live and in person at Arrow Head. Believe me when I say I am stoked! Even as I write this my heart rate is climbing and the adrenalin is pumping. I'm bringing along my 87 yr-old dad who lives in SE Kansas and who also has never been to a Chiefs game. We've got seats in Section 327. Any tips/recommendations to maximize the experience will be gratefully received. Mahalo! |
Ever go to the Pro Bowl?
While skydiving into your seats, keep a close eye on wind direction.

AWESOME... You're gonna love it. I don't go to many games each year these days, but that first one is always memorable! Just make sure he's OK with either standing or not seeing much. Not that folks never sit down, but there's a lot of standing...
Very cool doode.. Enjoy! |
Here's some more advice... bring the old man's walker. That way you and he can upgrade your seats significantly.
In the next couple years a few friends and I are going to a Chiefs/Raiders game...in Oakland. My wife is majorly against this.
Your dad will be fine in 327. You're going to have a great time.
There's nothing like walking through the gates, going up the walkway, and then emerging into the stadium with your first live view of Arrowhead Stadium. I love that place.
Yell as loud as you can on defense. STFU on offense.
The National Anthem will give you chills.
Try and get there early and do some tailgating.
Some CP members have a big tailgate, meet up with them. Hope we don't get our asses kicked by the Raiders at home again. |
If a raider fan gets in your way in the parking lot, just run them over. Annoying bastards they are.
Raiders fans are some of the worst visitors -- probably THE worst. So be prepared for that.

You should stop by the Chiefs WINnebago for tailgating.
