B without the B
Sometimes I like to do what I call "B without the B" that means Boating without the boat. I load up the jeep, cooler, cold cuts, drinks, towels and sun screen and a lawn chair. Then I drive around like I am in a boat for an hour or two cruising around, then I cruise back to my apartment complex and simulate getting out of the boat (Jeep) and I get in the water and talk and do that stance guys do drinking cold ones in the water. Then when the people around me start to annoy me a fake a text message that one of the kids is sick and I tell the boys I have to leave. I pack up the cooler and I drive around to simulate that the boating trip is over and I spend the rest of the day cleaning up the boat (Jeep) and unpacking. Then I debate and post on the internet how boating is a-lot of work and I talk about selling the boat (Jeep) and vow next weekend to relax. "B without the B" is perfect because you don't have to have a B and you don't have to have lots of money. Plus with the Hy-Vee savors card you can save money on gas.

When I was married and we bought that stupid RV - I played B w/o the B in Panama City - Mostly observing the locals and making mental notes.
Once I saw (and this is no joke) Once I saw a couple in PCB, Florida at a gas station, maybe an Exxon or something somewhat obscure. So yeah, this couple both had open beers w/ Baby in back. I swear to God the man was smoking while pumping gas and had a beer on the ground 'resting' - then the woman in the car (mother/wife) had a lit cigarette and a beer as well. w/ baby in car. Perfectly normal. But yeah I played my version of b w/o b at PCB Florida - it was like the town was the water area and the RV was my dock/lake cabin. So much fun. provided I could call this "B w/o the B" |
