I'll definitely check it out, not sure when since I've already spent a shitload on the steam sales..and they're not over yet. ;)

I would bet that Steam will put it back up there for $12 on the last day of the sale.

I thought the plot and gameplay were amazing, great game imho. Not many have come close to it lately.

Man, IGN gave I am alive a 4.5 and Gamespot gave it a 8. Never seen the two so far apart on a game.

The graphics are not great but the atmosphere and story really make it unique. It really pulled me, I think I even shed a tear. Great story.

Was watching the review on Gamespot and as soon as they said you can lose up to a half hour of progress when you die I stopped watching. I hate that crap.

I'm not a fan of the checkpoint system either, aren't almost all adventure games nowadays like that though? Like Tomb Raider?

nope. Tomb Raider you just lose a minute or two and no more than 5. 30 minutes if for the birds. Who has time for that?

Also, I really haven't found many games where you lose that kind of time. I think Dark Souls was the absolute worst about that.

There are ways around it. ;)

Tomb Raider has tons of checkpoints in it.

Just sayin' there is a trainer out there that allows you to save position, and Yes I did use it.

I had to use one of those to get through parts of the original Bioshock. ROFL

I know it's not part of the original game but if you can show some restraint and just use the parts of the trainer that should have been included with the game it isn't technically cheating. ;)
