I know Salvy is the shit and provides way more on the pitching/defensive side than with the bat, but at what point does he get a day or two off? Kratz has surprising power and seems like a formidable backup. It's not like we have Jason Kendall filling in.

Shields got moved up to Saturday, which would put him on track to start our first playoff game.

I'll be surprised if he sits more than 1-2 games the rest of the year.
