No, Cassel would be an awful backup... he'd be an awful #3 guy. He doesn't belong in the NFL. Hell, I wouldn't want him as my #3 guy if I had a favorite CFL team. I wouldn't want him as my #3 guy if I had an Arena football team. I wouldn't want him as my #3 guy for my UFL team (or whatever league it was that Palko played in and was cut).

Matt Cassel is not worthy of playing football... anywhere or in any situation (except starting for the Broncos, Raiders, Chargers, Colts or Patriots).
