This is going to be the thought provoking sci-fi head trip that Prometheus SHOULD have been... like the look of it more every time I see a trailer.

Sure-Oz 10-19-2014 09:56 PM

I'm very excited for this movie

Can't wait for this. All the trailers are great. The score sounds amazing.

BigMeatballDave 10-21-2014 07:35 AM

Cannot wait for this!

Anything with Nolan, with it.

So Nolan is releasing this early on film. (35mm and 70mm) All those theaters that have moved on to digital are getting it on the normal release date. Naturally this has pissed off a lot of theater owners. Why Nolan and others get such an extreme erection when it comes to film, I have no idea?

It's nostalgia mostly. A lot of filmmakers don't like the look of digital. Too crisp, too clean, too TV like.

Film just has a certain look about it.

So basically the writer's idea is that the members of the academy aren't smart enough to understand the movie in one viewing and won't watch anything twice.

I think like with fantasy science fiction is always going to be a hard sell to awards voters. Too much imagination is asked of the audience.
