I still dont understand it because it doesn't make sense.

Here's what we know...

The Chiefs aren't talking to Branden.
The Chiefs want a 2nd round pick this year.
The Chiefs are taking offers on Branden.

This is all a smokescreen to get a team to trade up for Joeckel...

Slow phone internet. I figured with enough time on here you and I would agree on something.

1 QB

vs

3 LT's

There's at least 2 QBs. If Smith is considered a consensus top QB available, that is a recent development. Barkley (spelling?) has been mentioned as his equal or even better over the mid-long term.

I'm told Joeckel will be "too hot," i.e. too costly in trade RT@datkidhec *@BenVolinPBP why not get the safe pick with the LT from Texas A&M

Mother****erJones 04-02-2013 08:28 PM

Its only a matter of time before the Albert deal gets done. Miami or maybe Detroit will trade up for the top OT

TribalElder 04-02-2013 08:28 PM

One spork to rule them all

There is no reason to sign Albert before the draft.

They have till June or July to get a deal done and having him in limbo adds an element to the draft when the players some feel are the best in the class are OTs.

Thats because by the time pick #11 comes around he'll likely be the only LT left and the Chargers need one too so they have to leap the Chargers.

They aren't going to trade to #1 for ****ing Lane Johnson.

Its a game of chicken. He'll sign the long term deal. What's fair for both sides that is
