the Dinner incedent... isn't even an incedent. Why are these in our paper, again?

KCStar is struggling for stories.

Shit happens all the time with government travel cards in the military. If you give people the opportunity to abuse something.....chances are they will.

You don't think the taxpayer, the donor, the alumni member deserves to know where their money is going?

You guys are insane. That is waaaaay overboard.

Dude, I can't get out of a steakhouse in Los Angeles for under $100 without alcohol, regardless of where we go.

I took the wife to Wolfgang Puck's Cut steakhouse for her birthday a few years back and with drinks and tips, dropped $500.00.

Steaks are expensive outside of your area.

Since it was repaid by the individual, how is it their money?

Before railing on the local paper, check the link. It's Deadspin, not KC Star.

Thanks Mizzou. ZERO SEC wins, over-priced steak, and strip clubs. Welcome to the big-time.

Actually, this was on the front page of the KC Star's sports section this AM, so the Star did report it as well.

These people work with Budgets. If they are staying within their budget, that's what they are doing. If they're spending a portion of their budget on a nice steak dinner during a team Meeting once a year, then that's what the budget is in place for.

So, that's a no vote on governmental transparency?
