I think one of my main problems was that every time someone touched Stark in a suit, it would just explode upon contact. What the **** is the point of having metal suits if they're going to be destroyed every time some super-powered phony lays a finger on you!?

Read the Extremis storyline in the comics.

Liked the way they did it in the movie FAR, FAR MORE.

MUCH more interesting plot than the comic with better action to boot.

I would have liked to have seen Tony use Extremis himself at the end of the movie, but I can see why that would have been unbelievable for some audiences.

Maybe do it for the next one to show us something new in the visual effects sequences. Not like they can't expand the budget because they just made a BILLION dollars on Iron Man 3.

Extremis Iron Man + Real Mandarin for Iron Man 4 would be bad ass. Maybe throw in Zeke Stane has a henchman.

Maybe do two more Iron Man movies with RDJ and make it a 2-part story with a cliffhanger.

Seriously **** this trilogy. I'll stick to The Dark Knight trilogy instead. Now that shit is a masterpiece!

You're not rewriting anything.

You're just introducing a new character.

This isn't going to happen. Marvel spent their ENTIRE ad campaign on Iron Man 3 building up the mandarin for this movie, are you telling me they would be willing to do next to the same thing for a movie in this universe?

“I am Iron Man.”

Tony Stark’s famous closing line to the very first Iron Man film takes on new life today as Marvel is pleased to announce the signing of Robert Downey, Jr. to reprise the role of the “billionaire, genius, playboy, philanthropist.”

Under the two-picture agreement, Downey will star as Tony Stark/Iron Man in “Marvel’s The Avengers 2” and “Marvel’s The Avengers 3.” Downey is represented at CAA by Bryan Lourd, Jim Toth and Matt Leaf and by his attorneys Tom Hansen and Stewart Brookman of the firm Hansen Jacobson.
Downey, Jr.’s last two Marvel films, 2012’s “Marvel’s The Avengers” and this year’s “Iron Man 3,” rank as two of the top five grossing films of all time, collectively earning over $2.7 billion worldwide to date.

“Marvel’s The Avengers 2” is being written and directed by Joss Whedon. Featuring favorites from the first Avengers film and new Marvel characters never before seen on the big screen, “Marvel’s The Avengers 2” is slated to begin production in March 2014 and open in theaters May 1, 2015.

$50 million plus per film

mr. tegu 06-20-2013 01:55 PM

I wonder how much less money the movies would make without him.

I figured, but I wondered if they changed that profit sharing deal with the other ones.
