Please post the 2014 recruits as well. Most of the 5 star guys have KU at the top of their list.

I think that's a little optimistic. Realistically I think relying on this much youth will make it difficult. You could throw back 2006 and say it's been done before. Those were elite guys though in Chalmers, Rush, and Wright playing as freshmen. Will these new guys be that good right away? I sure hope so and Self has certainly deserved the benefit of the doubt. But it's kind of hard to say there's no chance that it doesn't happen without REALLY knowing what we've got.

I would agree the 2005-2006 was young but that team had 2 seniors that played significant minutes b/f they were seniors in Moody and Hawkins, I do not think the same could be said of Wesley.

A little early to worry about that class.

Cool. I'm already looking at 2015 which Rivals has posted. Same deal, KU on all the lists.

I wouldn't count on Ben coming back. He needs at least another year of school, but the NBA is going to throw money at him that will save his family. He can't afford to pass that up.

Wellston is one hell of a motivator to grab that scrilla.

I'd keep McLemore on that returning list for now. Some weird rumblings coming out of the postgame.

Mr_Tomahawk 03-29-2013 09:37 PM

A lot of people in this thread doubting self's ability to coach a young team to the best of their ability.

Those of you saying we won't win 10...who will win the league next year?

The Jayhawk in me wants Ben to stay but the realist in me says he should come out.

I try not to get worked up. We just get Caliapari's left overs anyway.

After tonight yes, he's for sure a top 5 pick.

But you never know.

1st Place, 2005
1st Place, 2006
1st Place, 2007
1st Place, 2008
1st Place, 2009
1st Place, 2010
1st Place, 2011

I'll take my chances that we will be alright next year. [Click here V to Rep this Post]

Either OK State or Iowa State. If Ben comes back KU may pull off #10 IF 1) some of the freshman grow up REALLY fast, 2) Andrea transforms Perry Ellis into a monster this summer.

I'm not sure, I really don't know who's coming back for other teams and what they're coming in. I don't think it's impossible, but it's a bit early to say things like, "there's no way we don't win the 10th."

Lineup?

I say to start the season-

PG - Tharpe
SG - Selden
SF - White
PF - Ellis
C/F - Traylor

First off the bench
Lucas
Adams
Greene

Self trusts experience. There isn't much returning, but I think before the pups like Frankamp and Embiid break the lineup, theyll have to prove it before having it just handed to them.

Sounds good to me.

Blake Griffin came back for a second year. I think he's doing okay in the NBA last time I checked.
