Actually really good.

listopencil 03-31-2013 08:18 AM

Meh.

Mr. Flopnuts 03-31-2013 08:23 AM

Best I've ever heard from her.

hometeam 03-31-2013 08:35 AM

that Salvia has done wonders for her~

Buehler445 03-31-2013 08:55 AM

Yeah, If she'd sing like that all the time and dump the autotune and poppy bullshit, she may have something.

BigMeatballDave 03-31-2013 09:38 AM

If she were doing this naked, it would be better.

BlackHelicopters 03-31-2013 10:09 AM

Her mouth needs to be doing other things.

patteeu 03-31-2013 10:26 AM

Pretty good.

listopencil 03-31-2013 01:44 PM

I just don't like her singing. This performance highlights why I don't like her. She doesn't have an ounce of soul in her body. She sings like a little kid - trying to hit the notes, trying to evoke emotion through facial expression, like a ten year old on Star Search. Which is really pathetic because this is a great song for a young lady artist of her age to sing. If she can pull it off. Which she doesn't.

This whole post has nothing to do with her singing does it? Just her sexual performance. You ought to be ashamed.

She is 20 years old man, she aint Celine Dion in her mid 30's bringing down the house, yet. What kind of shit were you doing at 20?

Not singing poorly.

listopencil 03-31-2013 04:48 PM

Rhema Marvanne, when she was seven years old:

I kind of agree with you after watching it a couple times. She really doesn't seem like she is trying with that performance. She is just singing it. Not feeling it.

She also has no ass. Just sayin'.

listopencil 03-31-2013 09:12 PM

OK, here's another YouTube video of Rhema Marvanne. This video was uploaded in November of 2011, the description states that she was 8 years old when she recorded this:

listopencil 03-31-2013 09:14 PM

And yes, as far as I concerned, Miley Cyrus sounds like shit compared to this little girl.

SuperChief 03-31-2013 10:27 PM

It sounds like any random karaoke version of the original. Not impressed.

Also, she's prettier when her eyes are closed.

SnakeXJones 03-31-2013 10:33 PM

:hmmm:

Nothing about that made me feel like actually watching the entire video.

blaise 04-01-2013 07:07 AM

It's ok I guess. I'd say Dolly's version is considerably better though.

buddha 04-01-2013 09:39 AM

I enjoyed it.

HC_Chief 04-01-2013 01:12 PM

Meh. This one is FTMFW.

Otter 04-01-2013 01:30 PM

That's a pretty dark song if you read the lyrics. She sounds like she's singing about a bunny rabbit making friends with a froggy.

Listen to White Stripes belt it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gE3-q-aoFZI

This is only website I can't embed videos on for some reason.:banghead:

TrebMaxx 04-01-2013 02:55 PM

I think she has some talent and hasn't reached her full potential. She should study some of the better vocalist out there, like this one.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/z79pgPn357g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

ghak99 04-01-2013 03:29 PM

Watching her and the boring video killed it for me. It might have been better if I had only heard it, but I doubt it. Parts of the song just seemed messed up.

Buehler445 04-01-2013 03:58 PM

The lilac wine song has a bit of soul. It may not be the best ever, but it's a hell of a lot better than the crap she normally puts out.

Deberg_1990 04-01-2013 04:02 PM

Dolly Parton says $$$$Thank You$$$$$$

Easy 6 04-01-2013 05:06 PM

Only listened to 44 seconds before i realized... yeah, she does sound pretty damn good.

Thats really what bugs me about this girl... she doesnt know who she is or wants to be... she wants to be this hollywoodrock glamour diva, but she actually IS a country girl at heart, hearing this song makes that clear... her voice is best suited to country music.

She needs to pick a side and fully embrace it, otherwise she just kinda floats around in that netherworld of "just who the **** IS miley cyrus?"

DaneMcCloud 04-01-2013 09:01 PM

Yeah, not working.

Her voice has been seriously High Passed, which means all of the bass and bottom has been removed to her make her voice "punch" through the mix.

There's no "depth" to the recording. She hasn't transcended beyond the original and quite honestly, everything, from the acoustic guitar, her vocals, the bass, the drums, etc. have been copied and pasted.

It may please her fans but it won't stand the test of time.

I dont think anyone can punch through the original Dolly version, that tune seems like one of those that can never really be outdone, the best someone can hope for is to do it justice.

As far as tricks she's geting away with that maybe go unnoticed by most, thats a fair point and most likely true... but dont you think she needs to go country? i reeeally dont see the hollywood scene overall buying into her brand of pop-rock and lack of true pretense.

In other words, she needs to quit trying to be avant-garde and just start being real and true to her roots.

I don't think she has any true roots. I think she's the typical Disney kid that entertained tens of millions of kid on her show, and she'll likely have that following for at least a decade, if not two decades.

The bottom line is that she's a media creation. No one knows what she actually does, let alone, knows what she does well.

I disagree about her roots, she has country roots but doesnt want to exploit them, her problem is that she's the hillbilly wannabe Lady GaGa... she wants sooo bad to be that edgy figure, imo.

But absolutely, the media has transformed her into something she cant control, she's been hypermanaged for so long that she's lost sight of what she is and wants, imo.

BTW - pm me when you finally IED chris brown as he speeds by :D

LMAO

Dolly is Miley's Godmother.

listopencil 04-09-2013 07:05 PM

OK, I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but I love Alison Krauss and I just found this:

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/iecixko7HbQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

jspchief 04-09-2013 07:11 PM

Miley Cyrus has loads more talent than some other popoular pop stars like Britney Spears, but she doesn't seem to have any charisma and her music lacks a niche.

She'll probably be Lohan before its all said and done.

listopencil 04-09-2013 07:11 PM

I would commit acts of indecent beauty upon Alison Krauss' frame for hours on end.

Wow. She even skipped a verse and hit it out of the park.

Silock 04-09-2013 09:49 PM

I'm sure to get neg repped for this, but I didn't like the Allison Krause version. Just doesn't really fit her voice, IMO. It's almost like she's too talented to sing it and have it be believable.

listopencil 04-10-2013 10:37 PM

And just to show you how much Miley truly sucks:
