The 12-12-12 Concert is on live, now.

It's for Hurricane Sandy relief. Live at MSG in NY. I don't even know if or where it's broadcast nationally. Springsteen's on right now. I'll watch.

RockChalk 12-12-2012 06:48 PM

Thank you for posting this.

Dave Grohl has been posting little hints all day about playing in NY tonight, but I was busy and unable to research it past his tweets.

Recording now. Rep!

Dylan 12-12-2012 07:02 PM

It's great!

stonedstooge 12-12-2012 07:03 PM

How do you top that?

listopencil 12-12-2012 07:04 PM

Thanks, I forgot about this.

chefsos 12-12-2012 07:06 PM

If Rain Man missed the Springsteen set, it will get ugly in here.

stonedstooge 12-12-2012 07:12 PM

Was that Raquel Welch taking calls? Might have to give her a buzz.

Brock 12-12-2012 07:13 PM

Jesus, is that Roger Waters? Put a jacket on, man.

scho63 12-12-2012 07:13 PM

Awesome start!!! Thanks OP

LOL

RockChalk 12-12-2012 07:19 PM

Always thought it'd be weird to attend one of these. On tv, just looks like a bunch of people standing and looking around.

Deberg_1990 12-12-2012 07:21 PM

Where's Bieber and One Direction?

mlyonsd 12-12-2012 07:23 PM

You people that are watching without calling in are stealing.

Brock 12-12-2012 07:25 PM

LOL, the guy with the mute button apparently didn't expect that.

Brock 12-12-2012 07:25 PM

Comfortably Numb just doesn't work with Eddy Vedder.

MahiMike 12-12-2012 07:41 PM

I meant to post this earlier. Was watching the pre-concert on Paladium w/Jeff Beck.

Simulcast on the radio in my area too.

Cool.

I disagree, I have enjoyed the show. Although Adam Sandler and Paul Schafer are performing as I type and both of them cannot die fast enough~

I really liked Comfortably Numb
of course, it is one of my all time favorite songs

Dylan 12-12-2012 08:25 PM

That's where I grew up-great place and lot's of fun. It looks like a war zone now on the barrier island.

The police chief of Seaside Heights Tommy Boyd they just showed and I got into a fight in high school. He was a douche then but has done a great job with the storm.

Dayze 12-12-2012 08:45 PM

wish David Gilmore and Roger will get their shit together. I'd love to see them do a performance of it. or, at least Gilmore

Dylan 12-12-2012 08:49 PM

The Rolling Stones!

Hope they sing Sympathy For The Devil.

Easy 6 12-12-2012 08:58 PM

Its a good thing they occasionally do tv, because i'll never pay for one of their outrageous tickets.

They did it last year during a Waters concert in London. This is probably as good as you're going to get.

I've had it on for 20 minutes and there is a black guy with sunglasses and a really hot white chick who won't shut up.

HemiEd 12-12-2012 09:12 PM

Jagger is still moving well for 69!

I liked his quote last night on Letterman.

"We used to play music so we could do drugs and have sex. Now we do drugs so we can play music and have sex." ROFL

Goldmember 12-12-2012 09:16 PM

Cell phones are the new lighters

Great quote!

Munson 12-12-2012 09:19 PM

Alicia Keys is smoking hot.

Phobia 12-12-2012 09:19 PM

Alicia Keys seems to just be mailing it in right now, making up some song about putting your cell phones in the air. I don't get it.

She has a problem with lighters

Easy 6 12-12-2012 09:25 PM

Seeing the Sopranos crew together was kinda cool.

Really wish they'd do the movie that was being rumored, what a great show, i've watched every episode atleast twice.

alanm 12-12-2012 09:41 PM

The Who :thumb:

QuikSsurfer 12-12-2012 09:48 PM

Full chest exposed.. The Who sound ****ing great.

Yeah, they're sounding pretty damn good, a lot better than when i last witnessed the super bowl atrocity... amazing what practicing can do.

And yup, Daltrey has me feeling like a fat, worthless turd... looking better in his sixties than i do in my fourties.

Dylan 12-12-2012 09:54 PM

The Who are great...

QuikSsurfer 12-12-2012 09:54 PM

Heh, dude is 68 and has a chest like The Rock. Great seeing Pete wear that guitar out.

QuikSsurfer 12-12-2012 09:56 PM

I feel sorry for Kanye having to play next..

alanm 12-12-2012 09:56 PM

Townsend bringing his A game tonight.

KurtCobain 12-12-2012 09:57 PM

The Who are tearing the cover off the ball. They just killed Love Reign O'er Me. That was great.

gblowfish 12-12-2012 10:00 PM

This has been an amazing show. Daltry's voice isn't what it once was, but he's doing a great job. Working it hard. Mick and Keith looked old. Their set seemed to be just a touch slow. Clapton was great. Who has kicked major major ass.

QuikSsurfer 12-12-2012 10:01 PM

How did Vedder do?

He awesome--and they are doing a long set.

All the old farts can still bring it. When the great bands and rockers of the 1960s/70s finally can't do it anymore, its hard to imagine who of the 'younger' bands today can fill their shoes and have that 'living legend' status--and still deliver.

Agreed.

The Who should have closed the show before the finale.

Edit: ahh, Kanye is awful...I feel bad for him. What a mess. LOL

alanm 12-12-2012 10:14 PM

The talent level just took a major drop.

gblowfish 12-12-2012 10:15 PM

WTF is Kanye wearing? Is that a leather skirt? And who is Pyrex 23?

kilt with leather pants? LMAO

Lord have mercy - guy needs a stylist - pronto.

gblowfish 12-12-2012 10:19 PM

George W. Bush doesn't care for this set.

chefsos 12-12-2012 10:22 PM

This guy just told me to put my hands up. Should I?

gblowfish 12-12-2012 10:23 PM

They should get this guy to step down. It's getting past Paul McCartney's bed time....

Munson 12-12-2012 10:24 PM

Nice leather cheerleader skirt. LMAO

gblowfish 12-12-2012 10:29 PM

All the old white guys in the audience are all just standing there going...."where the Hell is Billy Joel???" Heh....

Dylan 12-12-2012 10:31 PM

LMAO

his outfit is so out of place with the jersey and great britain boys.

Dylan 12-12-2012 10:43 PM

oh wow...love billy joel

good band - probably session musicians.

Buck 12-12-2012 10:49 PM

Billy Joel #SWAG

gblowfish 12-12-2012 10:50 PM

I respect Billy Joel for tearing down Christie Brinkley. I mean, look at this guy....
Well Done. He's the Yoda of Poon.

I would.

Dylan 12-12-2012 11:10 PM

Billy Joel always always uses the best session musicians to back him up live

Mark Rivera, on sax

chefsos 12-12-2012 11:15 PM

Good show by Billy Joel. Especially for a guy just sitting at a piano.

This is like seeing 14 Super Bowl halftime shows in a row.

Easy 6 12-12-2012 11:16 PM

Havent been so big on their newer stuff, but Coldplay is still cool in my book.

Nice unplugged bit he's doing here.

Dylan 12-12-2012 11:16 PM

I like Coldplay.

Chris Martin is married to Gwyneth Paltrow - I think...
